Jeff TamblingPartner Jeff Tambling loves a good challenge. And the world of direct marketing suits his passion perfectly. With Jeff’s ability to rapidly weigh the pros and cons of a situation and quickly build a solution, along with his gift for cutting through the clutter and getting to the heart of an issue, our clients know they’re in good hands. While Jeff is understated, and you’ll never experience him monopolizing a conversation, he can masterfully steer any discussion with just one, well-placed, incisive comment. “We use qualitative research up front to identify the messages and themes that excite customers,” says Jeff. “ And then we put them into a matrix and test them in the marketplace. That way, we can deliver two to three successful programs, rather than just one, and we’re able to analyze the ROI to determine the most effective channels and communication flows.” Jeff is particularly successful at analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of a campaign and instantly coming up with ways to maximize the strengths. He is also gifted at evaluating gaps in thinking, process or program development. Regardless of market, Jeff and his team always ask the same questions. “How should the client be contacting customers and prospects?” “How does the customer make decisions?” “How can we change the process to better engage the customer?” “How do we create a lasting conversation with our client’s customers?” “OTM’s goal is always the same,” says Jeff. “To drive top-line revenue as efficiently as possible. And this requires analytics, creativity and research.” Having participated in more than one thousand direct mail tests and mailed hundreds of millions of packages over the course of his career, Jeff is a terrific resource for OTM clients, who can learn from his triumphs as well as his disappointments. Jeff earned a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
